What is PMVE (Primval Existence)?
Primval Existence is a survival, MMORPG GIP (Game.In.Progress). The animal in the game that you will be enabled to play as, is the Jackalope. The Jackalope is a bunny based animal (which is real by the way) with antlers that look relatively similar to that of a buck's antlers. You will get to design your Jackalope with several unrealistic patterns; meaning the color of the eyes can be the shade of purple (example), the coat/fur/hair of the animal can be mint green (example), etc. The only thing that will be disabled for you to do, is change the color of the antlers and paw pads. These will stay whatever color we set them as. In this game, you will be able to eat, drink (water), mate, give birth, survive, et cetera. However, you will have to go through many troubles and obstacles during your survival.
Hunting
During your survival, there will be hunters. Hunters will try to hunt you down for your skin, antlers, fur, tails, paws, et cetera. Sometimes they'll try hunting you for food for their dogs! You must avoid being hunted. The only way you can escape this, is running through several types of grasses. During your moment of clinging onto your life, the hunters will chase you until you have run far enough out of their sight. You'll know when a hunter is nearby, because you'll hear the dogs he always has beside him, and you'll hear the crunching of the grass and gunshot fires.
The Health Bar
There will be three health bars. The colors of the health bar will be red, green, and blue. The red color will represent how much health you have, the green will represent how much food you have/need whilst the blue represent how much water you have/will need. Overtime, during your situation (sometimes how fast you are running/constantly moving), you will almost instantly need food or water, and have to hastily find a source of liquid or food. Luckily, unlike Lif, there will be absolutely no hackers to bring down your health, food, or water. Unfortunately, there will be no hackers to help you regain either of those things either.
Predators
During the game, other than the human hunters, there will be predators. ANIMAL predators such as owls, hawks, crows, ravens, and more. Even though Jackalopes aren't known to their predators, in this forest; that's going to change. In this forest, you are the main food source. Your predators mainly survive off of you. You are the only thing they want to eat, and will eat; your predators will fight and kill their own family for your meat, and blood with their extreme bloodlust. You are the most cherished thing in this jungle, you are considered luxurious and opulent due to your beautiful, yet adorable condition with your slicked back fur.
Mating
There will be mating in this game. Luckily, we will not show a scene of it. There will only be a puff of wide smoke, and a peach colored bar will be included! The peach colored bar represents the symbol that you have been impregnated! Like in reality, only the females can, and will be impregnated. It will take about 5-7 minutes for you to give birth to your baby. In the game, there will be several holes in the ground with just enough room for you and 5 other Jackalopes to fit in. Make sure you get to a den in time! If you don't make it to a den in time, your baby will die in the cold, hopeless and defenseless in the cold.
Birth
Like the mating, when you have given birth, there will be a misty puff of wide smoke and a baby Jackalope will be born! With this, there will be a note in the chatbox in the bottom left corner saying that you have given birth. Once you eat, the baby will take some food away from your food bar, making the food source more scarce due to your baby eating up all of your food. This small baby will follow you until further notice. Once your baby grows up, you will get a small little tab on your screen saying so (That only you can see). You can easily close out this tab, and you will soon see the Jackalope you once gave birth to, as big as you; if not a bit bigger!
Foods
As expected in the wild, there will be foods that are very toxic to you and the others! Before starting the game, there will be a tutorial that show you what food's edible, and which are intoxicated. Once you have played the game long enough, by clicking the letter 's' on your keyboard, you will be enabled to see different colored streams of colors (i.e.: pink, blue, green, red, purple, yellow, orange streams). In the top right hand corner, there is a small tab you can make larger teaching you which stream means what!
Death
Once Primval Existence is played for long enough, you will eventually die. This takes about 3 hours (if you can play it for that long) and a note about your death will appear in the chatbox in the lower left corner. If not this reasoning for your death, you can die with several other reasons! This means you can die from death, sickness, you have been hunted by the humans, killed by the predators, got caught in a trap, ate something toxic, or anything else we can think of! Like I said before, you are the main source. Everyone wants you for your skin, fur, meat, blood, bones, paws, antlers, and tails...
Customization
Like I said in several paragraphs above, you will be able to customize your own jackalope! However, the size will stay the same (ranging from only small, medium, to adult sized) and you will be able to make the weight a bit bigger, but not humongous-ly large. You will be able to add creative unique colors representing you! But remember to keep the patterns a little decent. You can pitch your Jackalope's sound with an option in the settings, so that we can all recognize you out of the crowd! You can add notches on to your ears, or have them murderously amputated completely! The design, is all up to you...
Why the Jackalope?
Laluna and I have chosen the Jackalope as the only playable animal, because this is a rare animal for someone to make a game based off of, or even recognize at all! The Jackalope is a creative, imaginative animal that we once did not know! Jackalopes are cute, interesting, fascinating animals that make the game even more interesting! With the detail that will be added into the game, the Jackalope will become more loveable as you continue to play Primval Existence! To keep it from getting boring, like I said, we enable you to make your floofy little bud have interesting, unique colors that represent you time and time again! You are allowed to continue changing your color after you have died, on the page before you click 'Play'.
Why the Title Primval Existence?
Laluna and I chose the title Primval Existence because the Jackalope species looks almost primal! To make it more creative, she thought 'Primval' had a nice ring to it, as well! The Jackalope species looked primal, and their existence seemed to look like it would have been scarce; so once you combine 'Primval' and 'Existence' together, it sounds catchy! Don't you love the 10% use of our brains?
